The Story of Elements
Elements was founded by two long time friends and entrepreneurs, Jesse Berube and Julia Gibot in October 2015.
Along with Julia's better half Dorian and their ensemble of pets, Elements started their journey in the home of Julia and Dorian.
In 2015 Elements started their business focusing on online sales and using trade shows to bring awareness to their business locally.
In August 2016 they expanded their business to include a physical showroom in the basement of Julia's home.
In 2017, Elements made some great local connections including helping local game designer Bryce McNalley launch his game Dice Derbi.
More showroom upgrades, website upgrades and trade shows happened in 2018 as inventory and notoriety in the regions started to grow. Pennywise even made an appearance!
2018 also saw the start of Elements Custom Edition POP! figures. Using a variety of techniques, Julia started making her own customizations of Funko POP! figures. This was only the beginning though...
The crew at Elements continued to make new friends in 2019 and even got to visit with the Stanley Cup as Jesse's cousin Craig was the head coach of the champion St. Louis Blues!
An eventful 2019 continued as Elements was nominated by the people for their first ever award! The Stony Plain Chamber of Commerce Business Awards gala was a great event to attend, and even though Elements did not win, they were proud and honored to be nominated by all of their amazing customers!
In 2020 Elements was able to weather the storm of the COVID-19 pandemic, by providing local contactless delivery and curbside pickup, as well as a fully functioning e-commerce website! This led to more showroom improvements and their most successful months to date!
Also in 2020 the business officially incorporated as Elements Games and Collectibles Ltd! This came with an announcement of a Brand New logo and fully redesigned website on the 4th Anniversary of the showroom!
October 2020 saw Elements nominated for their second Business Award by the Greater Parkland Regional Chamber of Commerce. Due to Covid 19 there was no gala this year to attend, but we were presented with a certificate to celebrate being a finalist for the Growth and Community Award of Distinction!
